Softball Recap: Edwardsville Has No Trouble Against Collinsville

Edwardsville never let their opponents score on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Collinsville Kahoks as they made off with a 10-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won 16 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Edwardsville has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Collinsville, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-18.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Edwardsville will take on rival O'Fallon at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Collinsville is set to challenge their familiar foe Belleville East at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
