The Nueva School Mavericks won the last time they faced the El Primero Lobos, and things went their way on Friday too. The Nueva School really took it to El Primero for the full four quarters, racking up a 80-13 victory at home. With The Nueva School ahead 45-8 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
The Nueva School was led to victory by Tammer Maraqa and Diego Agustin. Maraqa scored 15 points, while Agustin scored 16 points. The game was Maraqa's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Steven Liu, who scored 9 points.
The Nueva School now has a winning record of 2-1. As for El Primero, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. The Nueva School will take on North Valley Baptist at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully North Valley Baptist focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Tuesday. El Primero is on the road again on Tuesday and play against University Prep Academy at 6:00 p.m. on December 5th.
