Jake Lochhead and Hunter Howie provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Johnston City. The longest such play in Black Diamond this season, the connection resulted in 66 yards.
Fairfield extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Carmi-White County, 28-20. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Mules.
Joseph Rodgers provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Fairfield beat the Bulldogs. He completed 3 passes for 78 yards and also ran for 22 yards.
Howie was the best receiver in the league this week as Chester defeated the Indians.
Chester's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Yellowjackets feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Lochhead has thrown for 447 yards and 6 touchdowns this season, while Brad Asselmeier has 7 catches for 192 yards.
The top two teams in Black Diamond will face off this week when first place Fairfield takes on second place Eldorado.

Christopher-Zeigler-Royalton was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from eighth to sixth in the league. The Bearcats defeated Sesser-Valier/Waltonville/Woodlawn 20-13 earlier in the week.
