The Lamar Vikings will be playing in front of their home fans against the South Grand Prairie Warriors at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Lamar kept a clean sheet against Bowie. They came out on top against the Volunteers by a score of 2-0. The win made it back-to-back wins for Lamar.
Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous five contests, South Grand Prairie brought some dynamite into their most recent game. They walked away with a 4-2 victory over Haltom on Friday. Considering South Grand Prairie's offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.
Lamar now has a winning record of 4-3-1. As for South Grand Prairie, their win bumped their record up to 7-4-2.
Lamar suffered a grim 4-0 defeat to South Grand Prairie in their previous meeting back in March of 2023. Can Lamar avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
