After two weeks on the road, South Portland is heading back home. On Friday they take on Edward Little at 7:00 PM. South Portland come in off of three low-scoring performances in a row, a trend the team is obviously eager to reverse.
Things haven't been easy for South Portland, and their matchup last Friday only extended their streak of losses to four. South Portland didn't finish too far behind, but the squad still lost 7-13 to Deering last Friday.
Meanwhile, Edward Little were the first on the board but had to settle for second at the end of their contest against Cheverus. Edward Little suffered a grim 26-49 defeat to Cheverus. The state rankings had actually given Edward Little a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. We'll see which team satisfies their hunger and which team leaves with an empty stomach.
