The Greenwood Eagles will be playing at home against the Easley Green Wave at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Easley took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Greenwood, who comes in off a win.
A well-balanced attack led Greenwood over the Blue Flame in every quarter on their way to victory on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Greenwood blew the Blue Flame out of the water with a 68-23 final score. That looming 68-23 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Greenwood yet this season.
It was another big night for Jeremiah Brooks, who scored 18 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Cj Terrell, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Easley suffered a tough 71-46 loss at the hands of the Red Raiders on Tuesday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Easley in their matchups with the Red Raiders: they've now lost five in a row.
Greenwood's victory bumped their record up to 15-5. As for Easley, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season.
Greenwood didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against the Green Wave in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, but they still walked away with a 44-38 win. Will Greenwood repeat their success, or do the Green Wave have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
