After taking the lead on a touchdown pass by
J'von Evans,
Proctor (Utica, N.Y.) went into halftime with a 14-7 lead.
Auburn (N.Y.) scored the winning points with a two-point conversion that came in the fifth quarter.
Despite scoring zero points in the third, the Maroons still trailed by seven points going into the fourth quarter. But seven points in the fourth helped Auburn pull out the victory.
The victory is a complete turnaround from last season's game between these two teams, which the Raiders took, 48-18.
The victory was a step in the right direction for AHS, which was coming off a 21-10 defeat at the hands of Liverpool in its previous game. The loss was the fourth in a row for Proctor.
Proctor (0-4) will play a Section 3 Class AA 2 game against Liverpool next week, while Auburn (2-2) will take on Baker also in a Section 3 Class AA 2 game.
