Franklin Heights gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They put the hurt on the West Cowboys with a sharp 26-6 win.
Franklin Heights was led to victory by Dae'Shaun Cowan and Alarice Gilcrease. Cowan rushed for 130 yards and two scores, while Gilcrease picked up 88 receiving yards and one touchdown. Gilcrease's longest reception was for an incredible 83 yards.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Franklin Heights' defense and their four sacks. Anthony Jalloh was especially locked on to West's QB and sacked him three times.
