The Independence 76ers will be playing at home against the Marion-Franklin Red Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Independence's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a serious blow against St. Charles, falling 75-29.
Amari Williams was Independence's leading scorer, having posted 12 points.
Montael Davis held things down on the boards with two rebounds. Davis took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.
Meanwhile, Marion-Franklin had to suffer through a rough 58-27 loss at the hands of Bishop Watterson. Marion-Franklin has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Independence's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Marion-Franklin, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Independence was able to grind out a solid victory over Marion-Franklin in their previous matchup back in February, winning 75-62. Does Independence have another victory up their sleeve, or will Marion-Franklin turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
