New Heights Christian Academy had lost ten straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Saturday they dropped their record down to 2-13 to make it 11. On Pittsburg's side, AnnaLynn Hudson made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits (and not a single walk). Hudson has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Those two hits gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Brette Pasteur was incredible, firing off two home runs and seven RBI while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Heather Mowdy, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.
