East fought the good fight in their extra-innings  game against Corner Canyon  on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took  a  21-16 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Corner Canyon Chargers. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game  last Thursday (13), East still had to take the loss.
  Alisi Kauvaka and  Liily Maughan stepped up to the plate in a big way.  Kauvaka  scored four  runs while going 3-for-5, while  Maughan  went 3-for-6 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and a  triple. Another player making a difference was  Kylee Grant, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-5.
 On Corner Canyon's side,  Bently Paynter and  Savannah Healy did most of the damage at the plate:  Paynter  went 4-for-6 with four  runs, two  triples,  and four  RBI, while  Healy  scored four  runs and  stole a base while going 4-for-6. The team also got some help courtesy of  Emma Rasmussen, who  scored three  runs while going 2-for-5.
 East's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Corner Canyon,  the  win  made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 6-14.
 East does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Corner Canyon, they will look to defend their home field  on Monday against Alta at 3:30  p.m. Corner Canyon is out to stop a six-game streak of losses at home.
