The Kenwood Bluebirds's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 57-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of New Town. Kenwood has struggled against New Town recently, as their game on Wednesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Kenwood still got an impressive performance from Austin Mbuyi, who scored 26 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Neo Feehan, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds.
Kenwood has fallen quite a ways from their 17-7 record last season and are now at 0-3. As for New Town, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kenwood will face off against Edgewood at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for New Town, they will head out on the road to face off against Overlea at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
