The Iowa Colony Pioneers can now show off 15 landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. They claimed a resounding 53-9 win over Stafford on the road. Winning may never get old, but Iowa Colony sure is getting used to it with their 11th in a row.
Iowa Colony found their leader in underclassman Payton Watson, who scored 13 points along with six steals. Watson continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Janyha Johnson, who scored six points along with six steals and five assists.
Iowa Colony is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 25-8 record this season. As for Stafford, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-19.
Iowa Colony does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Stafford will head out on the road to take on the Roughnecks at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Columbia focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 37 on Friday.
