Leading Bessemer City to victory were Keon Smith and Gavin Chastain. Smith rushed for 65 yards and one score, while Chastain rushed for 70 yards and one touchdown on only five carries. Those 70 rushing yards gave Chastain a new career-high.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pine Lake Prep will square off against East Rowan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
