Marion County extended the longest winning streak in 1A Region 5 this week by beating Brilliant, 57-0. The win marks ninth in a row for the the Red Raiders.
Marion County took down the Tigers 57-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Sean Wallace threw for 117 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 135 yards in the win.
Russell Funk's team's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. DeShawn Riebeshel helped Marion County's passing attack out by catching two balls for 43 yards.
Dorryl Swanigan was the best wideout in the league this week as the Red Raiders topped Brilliant. Swanigan racked up one reception for 74 yards.
Marion County's Wallace and Riebeshel have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Wallace has thrown for 853 yards this season, while Riebeshel has 13 catches for 372 yards. Parrish's Jermichael Harris leads the league in rushing yards with 1177.
The Red Raiders led 1A Region 5 in scoring this week after putting up 57 points on the Tigers. Wallace in the win.
