Meanwhile, Morgantown got themselves on the board against North Marion on Monday, but North Marion never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Huskies with a sharp 7-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Mohigans, who have now won eight matches by seven runs or more so far this season.
MADISON WISMAN made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 17 over seven innings pitched. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.2 strikeouts per game. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Morgantown has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Preston, their record is now 4-13.
Preston might still be hurting after the 16-1 defeat they got from Morgantown when the teams last played last Friday. Can the Knights avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
