There's no place like home for Alcoa, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  last Saturday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the William Blount Governors  a   9-0 shutout  on Tuesday. The Tornadoes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by nine  runs or more this season.
The result came thanks to  Kaylea Osborne's shutout, as she gave up just two  hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent  recently: she hasn't  given up  more than two  hits any time she's  pitched this season.
 On the hitting side,  Dylan Jablonski and  Kara Pitts did most of the damage at the plate:  Jablonski  went 1-for-3 with one  home run, while  Pitts  scored two  runs while going 2-for-3. That  home run marked the first that  Jablonski  launched this season.  Halle Bailey was another key player,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
Alcoa pushed their record up to 14-3-1 with the  victory, which was their seventh straight  at home. The  home  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for William Blount,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 14-8.
