Berwick will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Monday, then bounced right back against Hanover Area on Wednesday. The Bulldogs came out on top against the Hawkeyes by a score of 11-6. The victory continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Hawkeyes: they've now won seven in a row.

Makayla Brown made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ashlyn Klahold, who went 3-for-4 with three doubles, three RBI, and one run. Morgan Drauschak was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Berwick kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are 5-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Holy Redeemer lost 9-1 to Lake-Lehman on Wednesday. The Royals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Holy Redeemer saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Katie Genovese, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Holy Redeemer's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Berwick, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.
