The Carroll Chargers can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They secured a 52-48 W over Fort Wayne Bishop Luers. That's another feather in the cap for Carroll, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Carroll got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaidyn Fuller out in front who almost dropped a triple-double on 14 points, 11 rebounds, and nine steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Fuller has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Lily George, who scored 19 points along with nine rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why Fort Wayne Bishop Luers lost, one person who can't be blamed is Annika Davis. Despite the final result, she scored 13 points along with six steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Miley Wareing, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
Carroll's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-13. As for Fort Wayne Bishop Luers, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 10-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carroll will take on Fort Wayne South Side at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Fort Wayne Bishop Luers, they will head out on the road to take on Fort Wayne North Side at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Fort Wayne North Side focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 last Friday.
