The Shaker Heights Red Raiders will face off against the Cleveland Heights Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Scout Harvey made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted over her last 11 matches. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Shaker Heights got a massive performance out of Molly Milligan, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those four runs gave Milligan a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Eleanor Miller, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Shaker Heights was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .378. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Cleveland Heights challenged St. Martin de Porres on Thursday. The Tigers were the clear victors by an 18-2 margin over the Lions. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.
Like Shaker Heights, Cleveland Heights also got a great game from a two-way player: Vivian Portner. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Portner was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with four stolen bases and three runs. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played.
In other batting news, Ryan McMahon was a standout: she got on base in three of her four plate appearances with four stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 1.1 stolen bases per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Nylah Starr, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with four stolen bases and three runs.
Shaker Heights' victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-5. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.4 runs over those games. As for Cleveland Heights, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.
Monday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Shaker Heights has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .443. However, it's not like Cleveland Heights struggles in that department as they've averaged .610. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
