The Cupertino Pioneers put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against Sequoia as Cupertino made off with a 50-27 win. That's another feather in the cap for Cupertino, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
It was another big night for Soham Nighojkar, who went 6 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 22 points and 2 assists. That makes it five consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Cupertino's points. Max Lin was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Cupertino's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Sequoia, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.
Cupertino will head out on the road to face off against Harker at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sequoia, they will be playing at home against Sacred Heart Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Sacred Heart Prep focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Friday.
