It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Cape Fear Academy had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 57-25 victory over the Coastal Christian Centurions. The Hurricanes have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matches by 20 points or more this season.
Milly Kelley was her usual excellent self, going 7-for-17 to rack up 21 points and five steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 11 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Gibbs, who posted 15 points and five rebounds.
Cape Fear Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season. As for Coastal Christian, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-13.
Cape Fear Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 51-35 win against Trinity Academy on the 13th. Coastal Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
