The Poly Engineers put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Dunbar 60-10 at home. Poly has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 24 points or more this season.
Among those leading the charge was M. Lowry, who scored 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. S. Brown was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Poly pushed their record up to 11-0 with that win, which was their 14th straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.7 points per game. As for Dunbar, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Poly will face off against Gerstell Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Gerstell Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Maryland Rankings (they are ranked 55th, while Poly is ranked ninth). As for Dunbar, they will be playing at home against Mergenthaler Vo-Tech at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Mergenthaler Vo-Tech and Dunbar are at an even 3-3 over their past six head-to-heads.
