Jake Zieler and Dayton Waite provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Alchesay. The connection was good for 85 yards, the longest such play in V Section V this season.
Round Valley added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Holbrook, 44-14. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Elks.
St. Johns's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Zieler threw for 110 and 1 touchdown and Waite had 85 yards receiving. On the ground Zieler contributed 117 yards. Clayton Overson helped St. Johns' passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 48 yards.

St. Johns' Riley Raban and Zieler have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Raban has thrown for 939 yards this season, while Zieler has 20 catches for 470 yards. The Roadrunners' Shem Bowman leads the league in rushing yards with 868.
A big matchup in V Section V this week will be when Mike Morgan's team takes on Valley. As it stands, the Redskins are in first, while the Pirates are in fourth.
Miami and Valley played the most contested game in the league this week, with Miami eventually emerging with a 18-12 victory.
