Several Bears players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tyler Davis, who threw for 101 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Ezekiel Reed was another key contributor, gaining 116 total yards and a touchdown.
Jackson Powell was a one-man wrecking crew for Jack Britt as he rushed for 90 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 214 yards and two touchdowns.
Gray's Creek's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Jack Britt, their win bumped their record up to an identical 5-5.
Gray's Creek will look to defend their home field on Friday against Cape Fear at 7:30 p.m. Cape Fear presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Gray's Creek in North Carolina (Cape Fear is ranked 65th, while Gray's Creek is ranked 208th). As for Jack Britt, they will head out on the road to face off against South View at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
