The United South Central Rebels will head out on the road to square off against the Wabasha-Kellogg Falcons at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. United South Central is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 80-47, which was the final score in United South Central's tilt against Maple River on Monday. While losing is never fun, United South Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 340th, while Maple River is ranked 113th).
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Wabasha-Kellogg, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 44-29 loss to St. Charles on Thursday.
Wabasha-Kellogg's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Brielle Adams, who scored 17 points, and Mackenzie Paddock who scored two points along with 13 rebounds and five assists.
Even though they lost, Wabasha-Kellogg smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. This was only their 14th loss (out of 17 games) when they hit their own glass that hard.
United South Central has not been sharp recently as the team has lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season. Wabasha-Kellogg's record is now 3-20.
