Chavous Bobby and Sean Tullson provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Cranston West. The longest such play in Division I this season, the connection resulted in 90 yards.
Cranston East extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Barrington, 41-18. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Thunderbolts.
Portsmouth's dynamic duo of Bobby and Tullson proved tough for the Falcons to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Bobby threw for 330 yards and three touchdowns and Tullson had 132 yards receiving. Sewall Matthew helped Portsmouth's passing attack out by catching four balls for 104 yards.
Josh Morris was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 180 yards on 14 carries as La Salle Academy defeated Cranston West. Teammate Anthony Francis added to the ground attack by rushing for 60 yards.
La Salle Academy's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Rams feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Francis has thrown for 711 yards and five touchdowns this season, while Mitch Dasilva has 10 catches for 177 yards. Morris leads the league in rushing with 463 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Bishop Hendricken and Tolman. The Hawks enters the contest ranked second in the state, while the Tigers ranks 13th.
The Rams were the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from seventh to fourth in the league. Earlier in the week, La Salle Academy triumphed over Tolman 42-20.
