Even though the Sequoyah Indians scored an imposing 58 points on Saturday, the Wright City Lumberjax still came out on top. Wright City secured a 63-58 W over Sequoyah. Given Wright City's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 15th, while Sequoyah is ranked 177th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Braileigh Threadgill continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 26 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Those 26 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Ali Gibson, who scored 12 points.
Wright City's victory bumped their record up to 13-1. As for Sequoyah, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6.
