Everything went their way against Kingsway Christian as Christian Community made off with a 49-24 win. This was payback for Christian Community, who suffered a 41-33 loss the last time these two teams met.
Among those leading the charge was Anna Blumfeldt, who scored 15 points along with 6 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Christian Community's points. Another player making a difference was Sarah Solak, who scored 12 points along with 4 steals.
Despite the defeat, Kingsway Christian saw an underclassman step up: Taylor Bischoff scored 12 points. Bischoff scored a full 50% of Kingsway Christian's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Christian Community's win bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Kingsway Christian, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Christian Community will take on First Baptist Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kingsway Christian, they will be playing at home against Varsity Opponent at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Varsity Opponent has now lost 12 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 15.
