After a string of six wins, the Quincy Jackrabbits's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 86-62 walloping at the hands of Omak. The contest was a close 29-28 at the break, but unfortunately for Quincy it sure didn't stay that way.
Quincy's loss came despite strong showings from Pierce Bierlink and Aidan Bews. Bierlink scored 22 points, while Bews scored 15 points. The game was Bierlink's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Dom Trevino, who scored seven points.
Quincy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Omak, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Quincy will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Columbia at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Columbia's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. Omak will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Deer Park at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
