The Fairview Aggies lost against the Cold Springs Eagles back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Fairview took a 35-26 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cold Springs. While losing is never fun, Fairview can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 185th, while Cold Springs is ranked 14th).
Cold Springs got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Malaya Taylor out in front who scored 7 points along with 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Dickerson, who scored 10 points along with 6 rebounds.
This is the second loss in a row for Fairview and nudges their season record down to 3-4. As for Cold Springs, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fairview will take on Guntersville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cold Springs, they will play host again and welcome Hanceville, where tip off is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
