Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Stivers School for the Arts). They took their contest on Thursday with ease, bagging a 65-17 win over the Belmont Bison. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-6.

Despite the defeat, Belmont saw an underclassman step up: freshman Lillian Rupp posted eight points and three steals. Rupp is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last three games she's played. Kera Brown also deserves some recognition as she pulled down her first rebound of the season.

The victory snapped Stivers School for the Arts' losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-6 record. As for Belmont, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.

Stivers School for the Arts wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 76-52 loss against Tri-County North on the 18th. Belmont has also already played their next contest (against Cristo Rey), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
