Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Brody Shepherd and Dominic Rhoades-Martinez Lead Denver South to Victory

Denver South won the last time they faced Dakota Ridge and things went their way on Friday too. The Denver South Ravens came out on top against the Dakota Ridge Eagles by a score of 58-48.

Leading Denver South to victory were Dominic Rhoades-Martinez and Brody Shepherd. Rhoades-Martinez went 6 of 14 on his way to 16 points and six steals, while Shepherd went 5 of 11 on his way to 13 points. Shepherd has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. Christian Cobb was another key player, putting up six points.

Despite the loss, Dakota Ridge still got an impressive performance from Ethan Berninger, who went 8 of 16 on his way to 23 points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Nick Hubert, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds.

Denver South has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.8 points per game. As for Dakota Ridge, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5.
