Basketball Recap: Sheridan Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Sheridan had won two straight games and Trey Page did his part to make it three on Friday. Everything went the Sheridan Blackhawks' way against the Waldron Mohawks as the Sheridan Blackhawks made off with a 67-45 win thanks in part to Page, who went 7-for-12 from beyond the arc on his way to 30 points. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points.

Caleb Wright was another key player, shooting 50% from the field to rack up 17 points and seven assists. He has been hot recently, having posted 17 or more points the last four times he's played.

Waldron's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ethan Moody, who posted ten points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Parker Douglas, who had ten points.

Sheridan's victory bumped their record up to 16-5. As for Waldron, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 11-11.

Sheridan does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Waldron, they will challenge Southwestern at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Waldron is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.4 points per game this season.
