The West Oaks Academy Flame lost against the Orlando Christian Prep Warriors back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. West Oaks Academy received a tough blow as they fell 35-18 to Orlando Christian Prep. While losing is never fun, West Oaks Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 456th, while Orlando Christian Prep is ranked 175th).
Orlando Christian Prep can attribute much of their success to Adryan Marayne, who rushed for 158 yards and a touchdown.
West Oaks Academy now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Orlando Christian Prep, their win was their fifth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 7-1.
West Oaks Academy will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week. After, they'll take on Foundation Academy at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Orlando Christian Prep will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Northside Christian at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd.
