Newman Catholic was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from eighth to sixth in A District 2. The Knights defeated Belmond-Klemme 35-21 earlier in the week.
Bishop Garrigan moved up to 110 from 154 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Golden Bears climbed the ranks as a result of besting Prairie Valley 44-6.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Bishop Garrigan takes on AGWSR. Marty Wadle's team is currently in fourth, while the Cougars are in first.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Golden Bears take on AGWSR. Bishop Garrigan has allowed 32 points this season, while Skip Eckhardt's team has given up 20.
Southeast Webster-Grand fell to Lake Mills 45-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
