Justin Precanico was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed 5.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Nikolas Halleran was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he launched this season.
Meanwhile, Wellington won against West Boca Raton on Thursday with ten runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Wolverines put the hurt on Palm Beach Central with a sharp 10-0 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Wolverines have posted against the Broncos since April 13, 2021.
Greysn Bogdanchik tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over six innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in February.
On the hitting side, Wellington got a massive performance out of Foster Solomon, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those two runs gave Solomon a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Thomas Lograsso, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI.
Wellington was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .407 or higher in three consecutive contests.
Seminole Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Wellington, their record is now 15-7.
Seminole Ridge came up short against Wellington when the teams last played back in February, falling 4-1. Can the Hawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
