Leiah Richard was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up four earned (and three unearned) runs off only one hit. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, firing off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 2-for-3. Those home runs marked the first that she has launched this season.
