The Desert Christian Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their 11th straight loss. They were outmatched by Trinity Classical Academy at home and fell 70-41. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Desert Christian in their matchups with Trinity Classical Academy: they've now lost six in a row.
Desert Christian lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jacob Schroeder, who scored seven points along with 12 rebounds and three steals. John Helton was another key contributor, scoring six points along with five rebounds.
Desert Christian bumped their record down to 1-16 with that loss, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Trinity Classical Academy, their win bumped their record up to 13-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Desert Christian will square off against St. Monica Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Monica Academy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 383 points over their last five matches. As for Trinity Classical Academy, Trinity Classical Academy and Santa Clarita Christian will face off at 6:30 p.m. on January 13th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
