The Grace Christian Warriors will face off against the Alleghany Cougars at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Grace Christian will be strutting in after a victory while Alleghany will be coming in after a loss.
Grace Christian took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They blew past Ridgeview Christian 45-17. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 20 points or more this season.

Grace Christian had a senior duo take command as Aubrey Greenmun dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds and Kaitlyn Harper posted 12 points in addition to seven boards and four steals. Harper has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 12 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Emily Vogan, who scored six points and seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Alleghany unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of Buffalo Gap by a score of 48-46. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Cougars have suffered against the Bison since December 27, 2016.
Loss or not, Alleghany got some senior leadership from Bryce Leitch and Kelsey Nicely. Leitch went 8 of 20 on her way to 25 points, while Nicely dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 boards. That was a full 54.3% of Alleghany's points, marking the 15th time in a row she's had more than a third of the team's points.
Even though they lost, Alleghany smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in three consecutive contests.
Grace Christian pushed their record up to 12-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.0 points per game. As for Alleghany, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-4.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Grace Christian has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 26.8 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Alleghany struggles in that department as they've been averaging 31.1 boards.
