The Wewoka Tigers won the last time they faced the Stratford Bulldogs, and things went their way on Friday too. Wewoka managed a 48-43 win over Stratford. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Wewoka.
Wewoka's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Awtumn Sipes-Louie led the charge by scoring 16 points along with six rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Timber Carter, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
Wewoka's victory bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Stratford, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wewoka and Allen will face off on January 20th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
