If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Marquette. They will challenge Parkway South on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. If the matchup is anything like the 40-42 finish from the last time they met, the scorekeeper will be kept real busy.
After a dominant victory in their game two weeks ago, Marquette were humbled last week. They took a serious blow against Kirkwood, falling 20-58.
Meanwhile, Parkway South were able to grind out a solid win over McCluer North, winning 19-7.
Parkway South's victory lifted them to 1-2 while Marquette's defeat dropped them down to 2-1. We'll find out if Parkway South can add another positive mark to their record or if Marquette can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Parkway South's step.
