Softball Recap: Make It Two in a Row for Dixie

Dixie hadn't done well against Juab recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Dixie Flyers never let the Juab Wasps get on the board and left with a 7-0 win. This was payback for the Flyers, who suffered a 6-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

Dixie let Brenley Phelps and Layla London run wild. Phelps went 1-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run, while London scored two runs while going 2-for-2. That triple marked the first that Phelps hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Chesney Robbins, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

The victory made it two in a row for Dixie and bumps their season record up to 3-5. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 8.5 runs. As for Juab, they dropped their record down to 2-3 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Dixie will host Snow Canyon at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The game will give Dixie their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season. As for Juab, they will take on Richfield at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will also be Richfield's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
