Volleyball Recap: St. Pius X Catholic's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

St. Pius X Catholic lost against North Cobb back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Golden Lions fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 2-1. The loss put an end to the Golden Lions' undefeated start to the season.

When it comes to explaining why St. Pius X Catholic lost, don't look at Sofia Ziran. Despite the final result, she had 11 digs and two aces. Ziran is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Hannah Nicholson was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 12 digs and three aces.

Having lost for the first time this season, St. Pius X Catholic fell to 3-1. As for North Cobb, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Coming up, St. Pius X Catholic will head out to face off against Greater Atlanta Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Cobb, they will welcome North Paulding at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Warriors' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
