The Cleveland Rams lost against the Corinth Holders Pirates back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Cleveland fell 49-41 to Corinth Holders.
Several Rams players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nevaeh Cannon, who scored 16 points along with six steals. Cannon is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last three games she's played. Angelia Dunn was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with four steals.
Cleveland struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Corinth Holders' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lauren Sizemore, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamea Davis, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds.
Cleveland has not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record this season. As for Corinth Holders, their win bumped their record up to 12-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cleveland will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Garner at 5:30 p.m. on February 9th. Hopefully Cleveland focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Wednesday. As for Corinth Holders, they will head out on the road to challenge South Garner at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
