Emery/Weiner's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by Second Baptist 76-33. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Emery/Weiner has scored all season.
It was another big night for Dyllan Thompson, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds for Second Baptist. Thompson has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Reese Alston, who scored seven points along with five steals.
Emery/Weiner dropped their record down to 8-6 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Second Baptist, the win was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 22-7.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Fort Bend Christian Academy the next time they take the court. Second Baptist will head out to face Fort Bend Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Emery/Weiner will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
