Delavan secured a 57-52 W over Midwest Central on Tuesday. Given Delavan's advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 354th, while Midwest Central is ranked 713th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Alex Seaton was a one-man wrecking crew for Delavan as he scored 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Seaton has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Micah Brockhouse, who scored 11 points along with three steals.
Delavan has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a massive bump to their 16-12 record this season. As for Midwest Central, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-23.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Delavan will take on Illini Bluffs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Delavan is on a three-game streak of home wins, Illini Bluffs a eight-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. Midwest Central will take on Mt. Pulaski at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
