Meanwhile, Kingsway fell victim to Gloucester Catholic and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rams. The loss continues a trend for the Dragons in their meetings with the Rams: they've now lost six in a row.
Kingsway also got a good showing from Art Richardson, who tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.
Clearview pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Kingsway, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 1-1-1.
