James F. Byrnes got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Caroline Turner out in front who scored 17 points along with six rebounds. That's the first time this season that Turner scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Chassidy Rookard, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds.
James F. Byrnes is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Spartanburg, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. James F. Byrnes will play host again and welcome Boiling Springs, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Boiling Springs focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 last Friday. As for Spartanburg, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Gaffney at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Gaffney has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 427 points over their last six matchups.
