The Nipmuc Regional Warriors will be playing at home against the Blackstone-Millville Chargers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Blackstone-Millville took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Nipmuc Regional, who comes in off a win.
On Tuesday, Nipmuc Regional escaped with a win against Hopedale by the margin of a single free throw, 51-50.
Nipmuc Regional can attribute much of their success to Brayden Kelly, who scored 17 points, and James McKinney, who scored 16 points. McKinney is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. Logan DeMarzo was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Meanwhile, Blackstone-Millville came up short against Sutton on Tuesday and fell 53-44.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Ousman Touray, who scored 12 points. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Logan McCourt, who scored ten points.
Nipmuc Regional has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Blackstone-Millville, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-8.
Nipmuc Regional couldn't quite finish off Blackstone-Millville in their previous matchup on January 9th and fell 61-59. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Blackstone-Millville's Jackson Dunton, who scored 13 points along with nine rebounds and eight assists.
